Hunter Mill District Community Champion Jeffrey Anderson pursued getting a bike rack installed at his children’s school, but then began leading a monthly “bike train” of riders to school. He also secured a grant to create a Fairfax County Public Schools staff position for teaching bicycle safety. Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova presented for Supervisor Cathy Hudgins (D-Hunter Mill), who said “In all challenges, Jeff keeps a positive attitude and works to find solutions that get children riding bicycles safely through their communities,” in a statement.
