Dr. Jennifer Bowles Viergutz of Springfield (left) owns Burke Forest Veterinary Clinic, where Elizabeth Exline of Burke (right) has worked for nine years. Exline changed careers to work at the clinic and recently completed a veterinary certification program to become a licensed technician.

Part way through her career, Elizabeth Exline of Burke decided she needed to change her life completely. She had attended art school and was working in a restaurant, being trained for management, when her beloved dog died.
